The project’s core ambition is to blend out superfluous architectural expression and convey a feeling of abstract reassurance towards the patients, clients and citizens.
The building exists by and through its grid, which is defined by the clients’ need and desire for interior flexibility. All visible elements are essential to the very structure of the building.
The structural façade creates a cage which is made out of exposed cast-on-site reinforced concrete, behind which a skin of quadruple glazing perfectly protects an interior climate and comfort.
A set-back on ground level creates an arcade and an extension of public space, marking the entrances to the doctors’ practices and the pharmacy.
