extreme-sports fun park & public square

Sitting on the site of the National Iron-ore Mining Museum in Luxembourg, Joypark is not only an extreme-sports funpark. It is a public spaceĀ first, that can be used for various functions and change its purpouse over the years.

The project is designed to integrate urban elements to be used by BMX, skateboards or rollerblades, but also to enable public events like concerts. The concrete structure is dimensioned to accomodate large machinery for open-air exhibitions in the framework of the Museum.

Consisting out of 4 singular parts (a flat surface, a ramp, a stand and a wall), Joypark also integrates an open climbing wall on a special concrete-cast.
